JK Cinema - Urban Legends
JK Cinema's Urban Legends is a series of Flash-based documentaries that cover various paranormal phenomena such as ghosts, aliens, and cryptids. All of these videos predate Youtube, in fact the first one dates back to 2001. Before, if you wanted to make movies that could be seen by the whole internet, your best bet was Flash. The Urban Legends series represents one of the earliest attempts to use Flash for more of a "documentary" style rather than straight games or cartoons.
Even today, I still find the presentation to be very unique, with the typewriter aesthetic and short, surreal hip-hop music loops. They definitely function as a time capsule into the kinds of stories and images that were being spread around the early internet, and I'd say they're pretty distinct from the kinds of things you see on Youtube. Obviously, these videos should be viewed as entertainment only.
These movies contain discussion of death, sex, and the paranormal. Not recommended for small children.
